Established in 1955, Mi-A-Kon-Da is a summer camp for girls ages 7 to 16 who come from locations across Canada and around the world. Nestled amongst 200-year old majestic pine trees in the heart of the Canadian Shield, Mi-A-Kon-Da is situated on beautiful Birch Island, near Parry Sound, Muskoka, and Algonquin Park, Ontario. Providing unforgettable summer and lifetime experiences, campers and staff describe it as their magical and mystical summer getaway, whose uniqueness is unparalleled.
Mi-A-Kon-Da's private 23-acre wilderness island, with its many sandy beaches, calm bays, interesting nature trails, and natural rock outcroppings serve as an outstanding backdrop for the broad range of fun activities that Mi-A-Kon-Da offers. With an ideal camp size that ensures a 3:1 counsellor-to-camper ratio and that promotes a true family atmosphere, the activity selection is wide and varied. Water and land-based programs provide girls with the opportunity to learn new skills, expand their imagination, and experience the moments when they think they can't, but discover they can.
Mi-A-Kon-Da is a special island village that is settled within the dynamic beauty of wilderness. A memorable girls' summer escape where lifelong friendships are formed and that ... once discovered, is never forgotten.
What a great summer!
